The Company
Prometheus is developing AI systems designed to understand, interact with and optimise the physical world, targeting sectors such as aerospace, automotive, advanced manufacturing, computing hardware and drug discovery, industries that remain comparatively underpenetrated by AI despite their scale. Its foundation models are expected to be trained on real-world experimental data, robotics interactions and engineering workflows, moving beyond the text-based approach that has defined the current generation of AI.

This exceptional level of capitalisation from inception provides the resources to attract leading technical talent, invest heavily in computing infrastructure and pursue a long-term strategy in capital-intensive industrial markets.
Leadership & Team
Prometheus is co-founded and co-led by Jeff Bezos, representing his first major return to an operating role since stepping down as Amazon's CEO in 2021. He is joined by Dr. Vik Bajaj, a physical chemist and experienced technology executive who previously held senior roles at Google X, contributing to early Waymo and Wing projects, before co-founding Verily and Xaira Therapeutics. The company has assembled approximately 120 researchers and engineers across San Francisco, London and Zurich, drawing senior talent from OpenAI, Google DeepMind, Meta, Anthropic, Nvidia and xAI. Prometheus has also acquired General Agents, an agentic AI company co-founded by former DeepMind researcher Sherjil Ozair, strengthening its expertise in video-language-action models.
